insert creative post title here! ;-)

This is one of those random posts where, to fill the empty space between real posts, I upload some pictures from my life with a few thoughts.

I've really enjoyed reading your survey responses!  I will be closing the survey soon, so if you haven't done it yet, please do.  It will only take a minute and I love hearing your thoughts!

Isn't it weird how life never turns out the way we think?  Take all of the guns in these pictures for instance!  I was raised a city girl by a city dad who had never owned a gun.  I was sixteen before I ever held a gun in my hands.  I was eighteen before I actually went out shooting a gun.  I was married before my dad owned his first gun!  Now, in this last year, my family has become gun-savvy and I'm doing the best I can to keep up with all of them.  Thankfully I have an outdoorsy husband who can teach me all I need to know and tells me that I'm actually a good shot!  Yay!

Seriously though... as I sit here, Walt Disney music playing in the background, I wonder what a highschool-aged me would have thought of the life of twenty-year-old me.  There would definitely be things that would have scared me (still do), worried me, shocked me, and made me laugh incredulously.  Yet, here I am, a gun-shooting, fishing, not-as-much-makeup-wearing, trying to cook, fish owning, not to mention that Facebook account that I gave in to and don't know how I feel about married girl who doesn't really know what to expect of the next five years of her life.

I really only know a few things right now.  My wonderful family loves me.  My darling husband cherishes me.  My God is good always.

It is hard sometimes to not know much outside the beautiful basics.  But, for now... and as long as God desires that to be my life... it will be enough.

:-)

Blessings!
