Friday Favorites {No. 29} Little girls can fish too

I'm not a country girl.  I'm totally cool with that.  I grew up the daughter of a city boy.  I enjoy computers, cell phones, shopping, libraries, theatre, etc... but there comes a time when you just have to throw all of that out the window and just enjoy the great outdoors.  Thankfully, my Mom is much more of a country gal and she kept me close to the wonder of simplicity.  I've discovered as I've become older what a fortunate person I am to have such different parents; because of them, I can appreciate both worlds.

My little sister, Samantha, has been staying with Andrew and me since yesterday afternoon and we've been having such a fun time.  She's such a fun combination: in the same day we took her fishing AND shopping for a new dress.  :-)  Here are some pictures from her experience fishing.  She's now officially done more fishing than I have... I more of the take-pictures-of-other-people-fishing type.

Oh... random picture... I really loved this combination of clothes (city and country!)... hopefully pics will be included in my Modestly Monday post.

Sammie has quite the cast!

Can't believe she'll be nine next month!

Andrew was such a good teacher.  :-)

Today's post was a simple one... but these pictures are so precious to me.

Thanks to all of you who have been praying for Andrew and me as we search for a new home.  We've been approved for our new apartment and will be moving in at the end of the month!  So, the packing has started again.  It's actually quite fun getting ready for our new home; we're really excited!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!
God bless!

Posts with pictures can be the best ones. Sammie is such a pretty almost nine-year-old. It looks like a fun time!
