This is Me...

You never realize until you've broken a finger
how much you use your
hand.

I use my hand a lot.

It has been difficult learning to use my right hand more.
And to be positive.

I've learned quite a bit of humility:
"Yes, Andrew... could you cut my steak for me?"
:-)

Yesterday my pin came out.
And, thankfully, it hurt a lot
less than I'd
expected.

I still almost passed out though.
I've been "almost passing out" a lot lately.

My poor doctor.
He lays tweezers to metal...
I shut eyes,
tight...

And do the Christian thing...
I threaten to kill him.

*sigh*

I'm so glad my doctor likes me anyway.

I go back in three weeks.
If all is well... I'll start therapy...
all this for a finger.

I'm also really tired of x-rays.
:-)

I've lost count of how many I've had.

Ah, well...
I WILL be thankful.
Because, you know what?

God is SO good.
And my summer has been amazing.
My siblings have been great.
Andrew has been caring and supportive.
My Dad has taken me back and forth to the doctor...
and paid a lot of medical bills.
My Mom hasn't complained about my lack of ability.
:-)
My church family hasn't let a week go by
without several people asking how I'm doing.

Honestly, this is the best place to have a broken finger...
and the best people to have around me too.

So, I am thankful.

Well... I'm gonna go take some meds... hopefully they won't make me too loopy.
;-)

God bless!
Rachel

I know how you feel, I had a serious arm break a while back and was in a huge cast for three months. Not fun. But your right, God is good and we learn to survive. I'm sorry about your finger, deary. I hope it heals quickly!:) By the way, even with that pained expression you still look very pretty in the picture!:) :) :)
Much love~~~

So sorry to hear about your finger. I’m sure a broken finger makes it very difficult to blog. I hope it heals up quickly. Praying for you.

I hope that your finger gets better soon! So sorry to hear about that. So, you must be left-handed, since you have to learn to use your right hand, right? Ah, I suppose that all of us, even the most Christian of us, have threatened others before when in pain. Lol! Oh, just so you know, I requested your friendship on HSB again because their was a spam control glitch on HSB and I lost all of my friends. Just wanted to let you know! Get well soon!
