seeing...
rennie walk more and more. she has made it across the room several times now!
smelling...
water and sunshine lingering from when we enjoyed our little pool earlier.
listening...
to Rennie playing and the air conditioner kicking on quite often.
believing...
after darkness comes light.
starting…
to wear my shorts around the house (it is over 100 degrees most days here).
also a new system of grocery shopping to help us save money!
wanting...
more family time. Andrew's work hours are really hard right now.
wishing...
that I had more arms/hands. two just aren't enough when you are holding a baby, sipping coffee, AND attempting to read a book.
thinking...
that I could do without summer this year. and how amazing music is!
laughing...
at my daughter's hilarious cuteness. amidst the heavy and hard, she is such a joy!
buying...
a swimsuit (boy, was that an adventure! I still haven't found one I would deem modest enough for public use without a cover. the one I found will do very nicely for our little pool out back though.).
summer clothes for Rennie (and a few things for myself as this is my first summer since having a baby and much of my old wardrobe doesn't fit yet).
singing...
phantom of the opera. shrek the musical. and newsies!
wearing...
mostly casual clothes, soft and flowy! i'm really hoping to start doing more outfit posts in the future to show off my mom-style! ;-)
feeling...
a little sad most days, if I'm being honest. the days are long right now with how much Andrew has to work. looking forward to better days.
reading...
the books of bayern by shannon hale (just finished book three, river secrets).
anticipating...
my daughter walking with ease rather soon and baby-proofing more and more of the house!!!
loving...
the time I DO have with my two favorite people. ice cream. my daughter's laugh!

I love watching and reading about your family, Rae!!! Despite the many miles between us, it's such a joy to watch your baby girl as she grows, and it's good to hear from you. I love you so much, friend!

Rachel, thanks for sharing your photos. I've been catching up on your blog today and the photos you shared from your family's wedding. Rennie is so personable and lively. I know it has to be difficult living away from family and having your husband busy. I'm fortunate enough to have so much of my family near to me right now, but I know that things won't be this way forever. In fact, one of my sisters and husband will probably be moving later this year (military life). I guess it's a part of growing up and I just pray as the years go by we find ways to come together every year.
Weddings and babies are the best excuses to bring family together. :)
Much love,
Dani xoxo
